Liam Gallagher blasts Noel for Oasis 'Culture Club' videos

Liam Gallagher feels his brother Noel made Oasis look like"Culture Club on s**t acid"in their videos.

The Beady Eye frontman formed his group in 2009 from all the members of Oasis apart from guitarist and songwriter Noel, whom he feels treated them like his"backing band"and made them look like the flamboyant 80s pop band, led by singer Boy George.

He told Spin magazine:"Sometimes Noel treated us like his f***ing backing band. Some of the videos we did were f***ing shocking. 'Lyla', for example. We look like f***ing Culture Club on s**t acid.

"This time around, we're in control of the details."

The video for 'Lyla' shows Oasis playing at a colourful masked ball where a girl who is mistreated by her boyfriend is the star guest.

Liam added none of Beady Eye act as the band leader, but they all share the same enthusiasm to make the group a success.

He added:"The little fella's gone. I watch enough Sky News to know that we shouldn't have leaders. This band is four geezers all on the same page, wanting to make this the greatest band in the world."

Beady Eye's debut album, 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' is out now.

Nicole Scherzinger always tries to buy discount groceries

The pop star is happy to splurge on designer accessories but refuses to splash her cash on expensive food items and instead prefers to see what bargains are on offer when she goes out to buy fruit and vegetables.

She said: ' grew up with no money so I still get the best bargains at the grocery store but at the same time if there's an Yves Saint Laurent purse that I want, I've got to have it right now.'

Nicole's thriftiness also extends to her gift buying on occasions, and she claims her and her millionaire Formula 1 racing driver boyfriend Lewis Hamilton sometimes even make each other presents.

She revealed: ' love, love, love buying gifts. I try to make it sentimental and I get the extravagant stuff too. I love receiving gifts too. Lewis has given me beautiful jewellery and we make one another things too, that's probably the best thing.'

The Shadows bassist Jet Harris has died aged 71

The musician, who played alongside Sir Cliff Richard in the British rock and roll group, passed away at his partner's home in Winchester, south west England after battling throat cancer.

Born Terence Harris, he made his debut recording on Cliff's hit 'Livin' Lovin' Doll' and was awarded an MBE for services to music in 2010.

Cliff said:"Jet was exactly what The Shadows and I needed - a backbone holding our sound together."

"Jet, the bass player, will always be an integral part of British rock and roll history.

"Losing him is sad - but the great memories will stay with me. Rock on, Jet."

The 'Apache' hitmaker was also praised by his agent Peter Stockton who paid tribute to his dedication to his fans right up to his last performance.

He told the BBC:"He was a man who was so courageous and determined and kept saying 'I will beat this'.

"The last time he went on stage he said he didn't want to let people down and I could see he was struggling a bit, but he got a standing ovation. Regrettably it was the last concert he did on February 5."

Jet's musical career took off in 1958 when he went on tour with the Most Brothers. He later joined Cliff's group The Drifters and is credited with coming up with their new name The Shadows.

They went on to release a string of hits including 'The Savage', 'Wonderful Land' and 'Man of Mystery' and the rocker also enjoyed solo success in 1962 with 'Besame Mucho' and 'The Man With the Golden Arm'.

Beth Ditto backs Elton John

Beth Ditto says it doesn't matter that Sir Elton John is an older father because he is so rich he can maintain his youth.

The Gossip frontwoman thinks the 63-year-old singer ' who along with his husband David Furnish became parent to baby Zachary through a surrogate mother last Christmas Day (25.12.10) ' won't find fatherhood tough as he can just buy new body parts if his body starts to fail.

She joked: ' did think he was going to be an old dad, but he's got the money to stay young. New kidney? You got it. New heart? Done.'

Elton is known for his vast spending sprees but despite his wealth, he has previously said he is determined the tot will remain grounded.

He said:"I so value my own childhood now, and the sense of wonder and personal discovery that I enjoyed, that we want to give Zachary - as much as we possibly can - the same thing. A solid old-fashioned childhood, if you like.

"I know it'll be hard with my life, but we want him to have that same normality and for things in life to have real value. So we don't intend to spoil him - we're going to try to give him a fun, carefree time of innocence, freedom, love and stability."

Thom Yorke is working on a rap album

The singer ' who recently released eighth album 'The King of Limbs' with his band Radiohead ' may collaborate on an entire album with rapper MF Doom after it was confirmed they have joined forces on a number of tracks together.

MF Doom told 3D World magazine:"We're working on some duets It's just preliminary sh*t but we will probably end up doing a whole record together.

"We've got some ill a*s ideas."

This isn't the first time the unlikely duo have collaborated, as Thom previously appeared on a remix of the rapper's 'Gazzillion Ear' in 2009.

Meanwhile, Thom has also revealed this week he will be collaborating with folktronica star Four Tet and dubstep hitmaker Burial for a new double A-side single entitled 'Ego' and 'Mirrors'.

The release will be limited to just 300 copies and will be put out through Four Tet's own label, Text.

Radiohead recently surprised fans by 'The King of Limbs', as it wasn't known they were in the studio or had even started writing songs to follow up 2007 album 'In Rainbows'.

Bryan Adams is to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The 51-year-old rocker will receive the accolade in an induction ceremony on March 21 in front of the Musician's Institute at Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

His website made the announcement today (16.03.11), adding,"Everyone is welcome to attend!"

The news comes just a day after the 'Everything I Do (I Do it For You)' hitmaker announced he is expecting his first child with his personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi, who is due to give birth in May.

He told TV show 'Entertainment Tonight Canada':"Alicia Grimaldi and I are expecting a baby. She helped me start my foundation years ago and it looks like she'll be running the family now!"

However, a spokesperson for the star - who is currently touring the US - declined to comment on whether he is in a relationship with the mother of his unborn child, who is rumoured to be living with him in London.

An insider said:"Many of their friends still don't even know that they are a couple, but they are living together at his house."

Celebrities who have received stars on the Walk of Fame this year include Colin Firth, Donald Sutherland, Adam Sandler and Alec Baldwin.
