Nicki Minaj no longer knows who her friends are

The 26-year-old rapper has started to doubt the motives of her pals since finding fame and has no idea who she can or can't trust anymore.

She said: ''m not a trusting person. I think it's because I've had to deal with so many people letting me down.

''ve lost my peace of mind. I no longer know who's my friend or my enemy. I don't know if they're calling me because they like me or because they want a photo op, and that's not a good feeling. I'm always second-guessing everyone, trying to figure out, 'Who is this person, and what do they want from me?' '

The 'Massive Attack' singer explained one of the reasons why she struggles to trust her friends was she was recently invited to a pal's house, only for three strangers to come in and ask her to sign their CDs.

She told BlackBook magazine: ' wasn't expecting that from one my closest friends.'

Despite her frustration, Nicki insists she is still happy to be famous, though she has learned to appreciate that being valued for her work is more important than being recognised.

She said: ''ve always wanted fame. But when I achieved fame, I started realising that it wasn't as important as being great at what you do, or being critically acclaimed. Still, I never wish I wasn't famous.'

Foo Fighters preview new album

Foo Fighters treated fans to a sneak preview of their new record at the NME Awards Big Gig at Wembley Arena in London last night (26.02.11).

The rockers are preparing to release their seventh studio album, 'Wasting Light' - the follow up to 2007s 'Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace' - on April 11 and at what frontman Dave Grohl called their"first official show in about two years", the group introduced revellers to fresh material including 'These Days' and new single 'Rope'.

However Foo Fighters -who played the Wembley show as part of American Express' Preferred Seating programme - also catered for their long-time fans, playing an extensive selection of their back catalogue including 'Pretender', 'All My Life' and 'My Hero'.

Greeting the crowd, singer and guitarist Dave said:"You do realise this is our first official show in about two years? Well it's nice to be able to say we're f***ing back.

"A couple of years ago we played an epic gig in Milton Keynes, I think it was about three hours long but tonight we're only going to play the good stuff. We've been around for 16 years, we've got a lot of songs and not a lot of f***ing time."

After an energetic set, the group - which also includes guitarists Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear, bassist Nate Mendel and drummer Taylor Hawkins - closed the show with 'Skin And Bones', 'This Is A Call' and 'Best Of You'.

Earlier main support act Cee Lo Green played his smash hit 'F**k You' along with Gnarls Barkley classics 'Crazy' and 'Smiley Faces' before putting his own stamp on Lou Green's 'Perfect Day'.

No Age, Band of Horses and DJ Zane Lowe completed the line-up.

Sara Bareilles loves expresses her love for the English accent

Sara Bareilles could listen to an English accent 'all day'.

The US 'King Of Anything' singer is presently touring Europe with Maroon 5, and said she loves to hang out in its old cities, singling out London because she likes the way English people talk.

She told BANG Showbiz: ' think my favourite thing here is an English accent, I can listen to it all day ' a lot of Americans probably say that, but English people can say the most mundane things and they sound really cool.

Sara ' who has previously lived in Italy for year - also said she finds a certain inspiration in some European cities.

She added ' also love being in cities with so much history. American cities don't have this much depth. There's something you just feel in the air here which is really unique and I love it.

'There's something that touches me deeply, emotionally about being in cities that have seen a lot of history and were life changing, I feel like I get in touch with it sort of a spiritual way, and it really affects me.

'Rome is another city I feel that way about, the first time I went to Rome I was almost in tears just walking down the street!

't feels very creative as well, I feel like my artistic side comes to life a little bit, which is always exciting.'

Sarah's third album 'Kaleidoscope Heart' is out now.

Alex Winston has to be the 'drill sergeant' to her live band

The 'Locomotive' singer and songwriter says she has a very close bond with her backing bands - of which she has two, one based in New York and another in London, as well as a troupe of backing singers she affectionately refers to as her 'Sister Wives' ' but she keeps them in line when she has to.

She told BANG Showbiz: ' have a band in New York and in London I have another group of friends that I play with, I've always wanted a big band and everyone's always like, 'why do you need so many people?', but it's really fun and they've become some of my best friends.

'The girls come with me everywhere, and I love that my band mates get along with each other, but I kind of have to be the drill sergeant, and I hate that, but I definitely am the band leader.'

The musician ' who plays drums, guitar, keyboards and ukulele as well as singing ' also explained how she came to play almost all the instruments when she records a new track.

She added: 'The first songs that I recorded were made with me literally in my basement trying to write them.

''m not one of these people that can sit down with a tape recorder and an acoustic guitar and be like 'ok, this is going to be my song'.

' more like to sit down and record all the parts by myself. So I kind of learned how to play these instruments because I wanted to finish these songs. Then I realised that I really liked doing it all from the beginning.'

Alex's debut mini album, 'Sister Wife' was released yesterday (21.02.11).

Nicki Minaj refuses to travel on escalators

The 'Roman's Revenge' rapper reportedly caused a fuss at the National Basketball Players Association Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday (19.02.11) after insisting photographers travelled to her backstage area at the JW Marriott hotel because she didn't want to take the moving staircase.

A source told the New York Post newspaper:"There was a little drama... She had time before she was due to go onstage, but she couldn't be persuaded.

'But the photographers and crews were desperate for her picture, so they all had to come upstairs and hustle backstage to get the shot.

'Nicki was polite and posed up."

It is not known is Nicki ' who is frequently pictured wearing huge heeled shoes and elaborate outfits ' didn't want to travel on the moving stairway because of a phobia or because of what she was wearing.

If she does have a fear of escalators, Nicki would not be the only star to have an unusual phobia.

Actor Johnny Depp suffers from clourophobia, a fear of clowns, while Billy Bob Thornton has a phobia of antique furniture and Nicole Kidman has admitted to an irrational fear of butterflies.

At the Gala on Saturday, Nicki's friend Rihanna performed, while other A-list stars in attendance included Beyonce and her husband, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, P. Diddy, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Ne-Yo, Gene Simmons, and 'American Idol' judge Steven Tyler.

Justin Bieber has been dating girls since the age of 11

The 16-year-old singer - who won Best International Breakthrough Act at the BRIT Awards yesterday (15.02.11) - gets annoyed when people suggest he knows nothing about love because he has been"seeing girls"for five years, and feels he has learnt more about them.

He told BANG Showbiz:"When people say, 'Oh but he's 16 what does he know about love.' Have you ever had a dog? Did you love him? Every kid loves their parents. Then when you get to like 11 or 12 you start seeing girls. And you're like oh, 'I want to see this person because she's cute.' You don't know the real meaning of love but you think you do.

"By the time your 15 or 16 you have a little bit more knowledge, because you've had, like, one or two girlfriends."

However the 'Never Say Never' star - who has previously been linked to 18-year-old actress Selena Gomez - thinks love is something you learn as you get older, and he reveals he is unlikely to ever"figure out"

girls.

He said:"But I think love is a learning process throughout your life, you learn how to be better at it. I'm still learning, I'm not saying I know everything about love, I'm still trying to figure out girls, I don't think you ever fully figure out girls."Justin has previously revealed he is dating a number of girls but has yet to find anyone

special.

He said:"I'm dating. I date a lot of different people. I'm 16, so I just have fun."

Victoria Beckham's house is full of 'testosterone'

The 36-year-old fashion designer has again claimed she doesn't know the sex of her unborn baby - her fourth child with her soccer star husband David Beckham ' despite reports stating she is having a girl, and admits if she has another son the manly influence in her home will rise again.

Victoria ' who has three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five, with the handsome sportsman ' told talk show host Jimmy Fallon:"The bizarre thing is that the tabloids think they know the sex of the baby before we do. We have no idea, so it's kind of scary, how do they know?

"We don't know, we might find out though, we are excited. It will either be a boy to add to the three boys we have. We will have a five-a-side football team if you add in David. We have so much testosterone in our house it is crazy."

In the past, Victoria has made no secret of her desire to have a daughter, saying she would love someone to do girly things with.

She explained:"I can imagine painting her nails, putting on make-up and choosing clothes with her.'

Nat King Cole gets digital iTunes release

More than 50 years after its initial airing on television, the estate of Nat King Cole plans to digitally release The Nat King Cole Show on iTunes on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, which marks the 46th Anniversary of Cole's passing in 1965.

These rare television shows, largely unseen in their entirety since their initial airings in the 1950s are being presented for the first time digitally re-mastered from the original kinescopes. We have Cole's widow, Maria Cole, to thank for savings these shows and for helping to preserve the legacy of her late husband. ' knew these TV shows were too important to have something happen to them, so that's why I held on to them all these years. And I'm so excited that they will be seen exactly they were first seen back in 1956-1957. And Nat never looked or sounded better in those shows. It's just a shame that the show lasted just a little more than a year,' says Maria Cole, who currently resides in Florida.

The shows will be released digitally four episodes at a time on a monthly basis with a suggested retail price of $1.99 per episode for download and $.99 per episode for video on demand or rental. Select individual videos will also be available for sale on iTunes and promoted via Nat King Cole's Vevo channel and YouTube.

The Nat King Cole Show premiered November 5, 1956 on NBC making Cole the first African-American to host and star in a television variety show. And almost from their beginning there were problems with commercial sponsorship, due to the difficulty advertising agencies had convincing national clients that an African-American program show wouldn't cause Southern boycotts of their products. NBC had to foot the bill for most of the episodes, which aired commercial-free.

The show eventually picked up regional sponsors such as Rheingold Beer but a national sponsor never appeared. Even with the support of Cole's musical friends including: Sammy Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Harry Belafonte, Johnny Mercer, Mel Tormé and Peggy Lee, The Nat King Cole Show was doomed to fail. So on December 17, 1957, Cole walked away from his own television show, later he would remark, 'Madison Avenue is afraid of the dark.'

The first four shows being released originate from January and February of 1957 and feature musical performances that include: 'Love Me Tender,' 'Banana Boat Song (Day-O),' 'Hey Jealous Lover,' Blueberry Hill' and ''ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face.' Musical accompaniment was provided by Nelson Riddle and his Orchestra. The January 28th show was a particular special one, it was filmed at the Paramount Theater in New York City with guest Count Basie and songs include: 'Lady Be Good' and 'Namely You.'

Music historian Will Friedwald has stated, 'Nat King Cole is, without a doubt, the single biggest record-seller of his generation.' The only one that comes close is - a generation later - is Elvis.' With that relaxed voice, Cole's music and songs have remained timeless. It has been said that when Frank Sinatra went home to relax, he played Nat King Cole records.

Janet Jackson used to bang her head off walls because she felt so ugly

The 44-year-old singer admits she has always struggled with her self-confidence, and though she now feels more comfortable with her appearance than she did in her 20s, she still has periods of feeling unattractive.

She said:"I would literally bang my head up against the wall because I didn't feel attractive. There was a lot of pain in my life. But I did. I felt very unattractive.

"I still have issues with it. I don't bang my head up against the wall, but I still have those moments. And I think it'll probably continue but at least I know how to deal with it now. And I'm in a much better space.'

Janet ' the sister of the late Michael Jackson ' believes many of her insecurities stem from the nicknames she was given by her brothers, including 'horse, pig, cow, and slaughter-hog'.

She admitted in an interview with 'Today' host Meredith Viera:"It makes you laugh, it really does. It makes you laugh. I guess some people could say, 'Oh that's, you know, brothers and sisters joking, it's all affection, it's all, you know, it's in a loving way.' But not everybody can brush it off, and I was one of those.'

The 'Together Again' hitmaker also spoke about her relationship with her father Joe Jackson, admitting he banned her from calling him 'Dad'.

She recalled:"He said, 'I'm Joseph to you. You do not call me dad.' That affects you as a kid. I know my father loves me. He just has a very, very different way of showing it."

Janet's interview will be broadcast on 'Today' on Friday (11.02.11).

Adele's fans take photos of her dog's turds to sell online

Adele's fans take photos of her dog's turds to sell online.

The 22-year-old musician has caught"eBay weirdos"following her around when she's walking her pooch Louis Armstrong in a bid to get their hands on some unusual memorabilia so they can make money from online.

She said:"The other day I was up north (Northern England) and there were these - well, I don't think they were fans actually, they were like eBayers.

"I'd be at the venue, they'd be there. I'd leave the venue and they'd be there. Then they started taking pictures of my dog doing a s**t and stuff like that. It was really weird."

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer was also followed into an elevator by an apparent collector and she admits the experience made her very nervous.

She added to The Sun newspaper:"I was on my own taking Louis out for a walk. One of them just got in the lift with me and I got really panicky. Luckily, there was a cleaner on the floor I was on. That scares the life out of me."

Adele's experiences with strange admirers and obsessive fans has made her realise how difficult life must be for megastars like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

She said:"I was just thinking, imagine being someone like Cheryl Cole or Katy Perry or Lady Gaga, where you've got to be conniving to have a normal day. I don't think I'd be able to carry on doing music if it got to that point. I don't think it ever will - I don't think I'm the kind of artist where that will happen.'
